Bright Futures works with established overseas partners to deliver health, education and development programs that make a real difference to the lives of people.
In India, Bright Futures partners with the Bangalore City Mission (BCM). Based in Bangalore, this vital ministry was founded in 1989 and brings help and hope to impoverished children, families and communities in more than a dozen quarry villages and city slums. BCM operates a school with more than 450 students and is involved in initiating and managing a wide range of development projects including vocational training, medical clinics, water projects & self help groups.
In Pakistan, Bright Futures partners with the Christian Fellowship of Pakistan (CFP). Based at Youngsonabad near Lahore, this program is aimed at improving the health of children and providing opportunities for children to break free of grinding poverty through education, health and clean water projects. In Pakistan nearly one in ten children do not reach their fifth birthday, most dying of vaccine preventable disease. Currently there are 300 children in the school run by CFP at Youngsonabad and a vital medical program is fast developing.
Bright Futures development partners have a long history of serving their local communities and a targeted community development plan approved by World Relief Australia underpins the operation of the projects in each location.
